Development Programs
Our Development Programs currently provides basic Computer Skill Classes for both youth and adults. Our classes build upon the skills already learned while provide more advance instructions.
For the youth that are in school we help to reinforce the skills they have learned. Taking what they have already learned and building upon that with more advance
skills. They learn and are able to name the components that make up a computer.
They learn about creating folders, files and documents. They also learn some basic
trouble shooting.
For the adults we teach those same items as for the youth, but take it much further.
The adult classes are tailored to the needs of the students taking the class. For the
seniors we also cover internet security when using the web.
In the adult classes, the adults are encouraged to bring their cell phones, tablets and
laptops. we cover such things as moving files from one device to another. Backing
up and removing data from their devices. They learn to about installing applications
on their devices. This design is to help them to learn how to use their devices so the
it is a more useful experience.
We currently are running two class sessions, a Spring and Fall session. We are
looking forward to add a Summer session for the Youth in 2018.
